I have been on Goodreads for almost 16 years and I did not know about most of this. I have noticed the unreliability and different interpretations of the ratings system have made that aspect pretty useless to me, (unless rated by a close friend) but I have loved using it to track books I have read and want to read. I will have to look around to see if there is a better social network tool for that.
